The US Indoor Karting Championship’s originated from the World Championship event, where Europeans and Brazilians traditionally dominated.
After the first 2 years of the world event resulted with zero Americans on the final podium, the USIKC was started in search of a wider base of American talent to elevate the level of competition that the U.S. brings to the world championship.

The USIKC has been hosted at Octane Raceway (formerly F1 Race Factory) since its inception in 2003, and the 2011 competition will be held again at Octane in Phoenix, AZ. The field will be limited to 80 racers, who will compete in 6 races throughout the weekend.
Competitors race a different track every race. Drivers will race each of the 1/4 mile tracks and the exclusive 1/2 mile GP track in both directions. Racers will receive points for each race, and at the end of the competition, a USIKC individual racer and a team champion will be crowned.
